Doug Wilson

Doug Wilson started Wilson Aviation Ltd in 2009. With a background in red seal welding and sheet metal trades, hand skills came naturally with aircraft maintenance. He was lucky enough to train under some of the top mentors in the aviation industry. One of them being his instructor while attending the maintenance program at BCIT. During his AME apprenticeship at ZBB the community of aviation professionals and enthusiasts provided Doug with the knowledge, skills and confidence to take on any maintenance and repair task involved with small aircraft. During his apprenticeship He was involved in building an experimental aircraft, restoring a fabric covered vintage aircraft and many other maintenance tasks involved on both warbird and other general aviation airplanes. Without the backing of so many generous people in the aviation community Wilson Aviation could not exist.

Doug branched out and purchased the required tools and equipment to start his own shop in 2016. With the ideal location at Boundary Bay airport Wilson Aviation Ltd will continue to provide quality aircraft maintenance and repair for years to come.
